WELL
KNOWN REALTOR GRANTED PERMANENT RESIDENCE AFTER INITIAL DENIAL
Las
Vegas, NV – July 10, 2006 – Rosemary
Pinto applied for a Petition for Alien Relative Form I-130
under her husband Edward Pinto, a U.S. Citizen. After
conducting the initial interview, the officer in charge at
the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS) in Las
Vegas concluded that Ms. Pinto was inadmissible for immediate
relative classification. The officer claimed that Ms.
Pinto had made misrepresentations to the CIS and was therefore
inadmissible. With the help of ASK Law Group and attorneys
Philip Abramowitz and Rae Halperin, Ms. Pinto’s denial
was overturned and Ms. Pinto was granted permanent residence.
Rosemary Pinto met her husband, Edward Pinto, in August 1999
in Las Vegas. The two fell in love quickly and married
in October 2001. Shortly after, the couple established
Sapphire Reality Inc., a highly profitable and growing Nevada
real-estate corporation. As a well-known and highly
respected broker in the Las Vegas area, Ms. Pinto has helped
numerous clients in acquisition and disposition of properties
as well as making sound investment decisions.
When
Ms. Pinto was initially denied permanent residence, her previous
attorneys advised her to file a waiver seeking forgiveness
for the alleged misrepresentations. However, after consulting
ASK Law Group, Ms. Pinto was informed that she did not have
to file a waiver because she was in fact not inadmissible
since she did not make any misrepresentations to any U.S.
Government Officials
“At
first, I was hesitant if my denial would be overturned because
my prior attorney could not adequately explain my situation.
However, Mr. Abramowitz assured me that if the facts were
presented properly, the petition would be approved and he
did just that,” said Ms. Pinto.
Ms.
Pinto’s attorneys at ASK Law Group were able to fight
the denial of the adjustment of status and permanent residence
was granted to Ms. Pinto.
“When
Ms. Pinto first came to me, I was confident that I would be
able to help her. As a new attorney to the Las Vegas
area I made sure that Ms. Pinto’s case received the
close attention that it deserved because I wanted to prove
to her that we are the best law firm. Sometimes misunderstanding
of the situation can lead to a misinterpretation of the law
and I am glad that we were able to alleviate the issue properly,”
said Philip Abramowitz, a partner at ASK Law Group.
This
is the third case of the year where ASK Law Group has been
able to overturn denials after properly persuading the CIS
office that a mistake was made.
